Presidents Room

The President’s Room is dedicated to the men who have held our nation’s highest office. The queen-size bedroom suite is solid mahogany. This room has a private entrance off the back porch and a double shower in the private bath.

This room features a queen-size mahogany bed with a matching mirrored dresser and night stand. The armoire was purchased separately at a local antique auction. As you enter the room, to the right is an antique typewriter. This typewriter belonged to the founder of Conoco. Over the bed is a picture copyrighted 1901, in its original frame. The JFK fund raising dinner ticket next to the mirrored dresser was purchased by Woodrow and, of course, never used. Lunie, Woodrow’s wife and David’s grandmother saved the ticket and recently gave it to David’s oldest brother, Charlie. Charlie let us laser copy the original so that we could display it.

Services

Pets are welcome only in certain rooms and on a case by case basis. There is a $30 pet fee per day. Please call in advance. Supervised Children are welcome. We do not overbook. No shows will be charged full price.

Certain Special Event weekends like Texas Tech University home games and Texas Tech University Graduations require a two day minimum. We charge $15 for any additional people over two to a room. Not all rooms can hold more than two people.

Breakfast is served Monday thru Friday mornings between 7-8:30 AM. Saturday and Sunday mornings between 8:30-10 AM. We serve a full country breakfast. When we serve in the dining room, it is set up buffet style. If we have just a few guests we will serve in the kitchen around the breakfast bar.

Cancellation Policy:
You can cancel up to two weeks before reservation with just a $30 cancellation fee. If you cancel with less than two weeks notice you pay for the reservation in full. All reservations require a $30 non refundable deposit. This deposit goes towards your room when you stay.
