Step Back in Time with a Tribute to Buddy Holly
50's Room
- Up to 3 Guests
- 1 King & 1 Room for Twin Roll-Away
The 50s room has a private stained glass door to the balcony overlooking the large backyard. The stained glass in the door to the balcony was made by David and features his interpretation of Buddy Holly. This quaint room is located on the back of the main house on the second floor. The 1950′s decor brings back the memories that made the 50s so unique in American culture. The private bathroom has an antique tub with a shower. This room features a king-size bedroom suite from the 1950′s. The print over the bed is of Buddy Holly growing up. Buddy Holly’s cousin sculpted the Plaster of Paris bust that is hanging on the wall. On one of the walls of this Buddy Holly-inspired room is an original poster from Buddy Holly’s last concert tour. It is the only one known in existence to be autographed by the three original crickets. We also have a original vinyl record (a 45) of the song “Peggy Sue” that has been autographed by Peggy Sue herself. If you are a Buddy Holly fan visiting Lubbock, this is the room for you.
