About the Inn

The Woodrow House Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful and spacious 11-room Bed & Breakfast located across the street from Texas Tech University. Our Bed & Breakfast is within walking distance to virtually all TTU events and activities.

A large red-brick house with tall white columns, glowing warmly at dusk. A manicured hedge lines the front, and a sign reads “Woodrow House Bed & Breakfast,” a charming B&B near Texas Tech University nestled among trees and a cloudy sky.

The History

In 1995, after four years of dreaming, planning, researching and designing, David and Dawn Fleming (the original and still current owner/operators) built the Woodrow House specifically be a Bed and Breakfast. This Bed and Breakfast is the first permanent structure built on the corner lot at 19th Street and Boston Avenue in Lubbock, Texas.

The Woodrow House B&B was named after David’s paternal grandfather George Woodrow Fleming (1914-1972). Woodrow “Woody” Fleming was a Texas Rancher, Agri-businessman, cotton ginner, grain merchant and entrepreneur.

There are several additions to the property. The Santa Fe caboose was added in 1999 and the Carriage House was built in 2009. The pool and hot tub were added in 2010.
